JOB PURPOSE
As a Creative Director, you would be leading a team of thinkers and doers across a wide span of design disciplines, providing creative direction, ideation, problem solving, mentoring and quality control to meet our client’s requirements. We’re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone that will inspire others, taking our creative to new levels as we continue to grow. You must be extremely creative, dedicated and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You can manage the design and execution of entire campaigns (not just the production of specific pieces) and demonstrate an ability to keep other team members working alongside you within established deadlines. You demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design software and applications as well as great knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration, 3D, structural to name a few.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Ability to decipher, question and absorb briefs at client meetings.
- Fantastic communication skills to lead and inspire a team of designers.
- Deliver irresistible presentations that showcase solutions and astound clients.
- Live and breathe projects, big and small. Approach each challenge with passion, intelligence, and humour. Develop clear ideas with bulletproof rationales.
- Go the journey - from initial mood boards and napkin scamps, to supporting the final moonlit morning installations.
- Know the client's brand guidelines better than they do and develop big ideas that help push their brand forward.
- Have an inquisitive multi-channel mindset and a keen eye on the latest and greatest industry trends.
- Background in retail marketing (online/in-store) OOH advertising, film/tv, gaming, consumer electronics.
- Abundance of experience in design for Print, Digital, 3D, Structural, Experiential, Social Animation, Large format, POS.
- Ability to spot a typo in a haystack.
Required skills and experience.- 8+ years in a similar Creative Director or Senior Designer role
- Demonstrated experience conceptualising and executing impactful, engaging creative across platforms including digital, social, print, OOH and temporary/permanent POS.
- Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a finished execution.
- Experience in managing, growing, and developing teams.
- Extensive proven experience of executing your own ideas within established brand guidelines.
- Advanced fluency in current design software including, but not limited, to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Cinema 4D (or similar). Experience in Unreal and AfterEffects/Premiere an advantage.
- Operate well under tight schedules and changing priorities.
