About GROUP219
Group 219 is a network of specialist independent Canadian agencies seamlessly collaborating with the best tools and talent to create results for clients. Strategy, creative, content, media and PR — from Montreal, Toronto, and beyond.
Independently strong. Collectively unstoppable. When it adds value for clients, the agencies of Group 219 come together — bringing diverse expertise, fresh perspectives, and complementary skills — to deliver something bigger. And sweeter.
About Church+state
Church+State is a Toronto-based agency, part of Group 219, that helps brands navigate the unified worlds of advertising and content — creating stuff people want to see, not stuff they have to see. Their approach is built on aligning what a brand thinks, what it does, and what it says, across strategy, experience, and creation.
About Substance
Substance is an independent, integrated agency built around a unique winning formula: content, creation, media, and PR — all under one roof. For over 13 years, their team of fearless thinkers has helped brands like Doordash, Tremblant, and Rona spark real reactions through agile content, bold creative, and high-performing media. Part of Groupe 219, Substance operates across Montreal and Toronto.
While Substance brings the full spectrum of agency expertise, this role is specifically focused on the media pillar — owning paid media strategy, planning, and execution for English-market clients, from within the C+S Toronto office.
Position summary
As part of Group 219 — the collaborative network behind Church+State and Substance — the Digital Media Specialist is a hybrid media and project management role based in the C+S Toronto office. You will support the Substance Montreal media team in executing end-to-end digital and 360° campaigns for English-market clients, while serving as the primary Toronto point of contact.
