Role summary:
As a Vice President, Communications, Governance & Design Lead within Regulatory Operations, you will lead strategic communications, governance execution, and experience/design standards across a portfolio of regulatory initiatives. You will partner closely with Business Management and Project Management to translate business requirements into clear outcomes, predictable delivery, and strong stakeholder alignment.
A core priority is designing and launching a centralized Regulatory Operations portal—a “one-stop-shop” for data/information/metrics/communications—that can consolidate content and reporting currently distributed across multiple datapoints.
Job responsibilities
- Translate priorities into measurable outcomes and definitions of done.
- Clarify scope/time/cost/quality trade-offs for each initiative.
- Provide executive visibility into progress, dependencies, and decisions.
- Build integrated delivery plans covering milestones, resourcing, and critical path.
- Drive an execution cadence that produces decisions and follow-through.
- Own end-to-end delivery, removing blockers and managing issues transparently.
- Design governance routines, decision rights, approvals, and documentation standards.
- Partner with Risk/Controls to ensure controlled, audit-ready materials.
- Anticipate risks and escalate early with options and impact assessment.
- Develop internal communications, narratives, and leader prep (talking points/Q&A).
- Lead portal discovery, build, governance, and success metrics for adoption and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience across internal communications, business management, program/project management, governance/operating model, or related roles in a regulated or complex operating environment.
- Strong executive communication skills: excellent writing/editing, crisp verbal communication, and ability to simplify complex topics.
- Demonstrated ability to build and run governance cadences (decision forums, change control, RAID, action tracking) across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong delivery orientation: planning, dependency management, and issue/risk management; comfortable operating across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Proven stakeholder management and influence skills, including comfort challenging constructively and driving decisions.
- Analytical mindset with ability to define metrics, structure reporting, and improve processes.
- High standards for accuracy, risk awareness, and integrity.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Regulatory Operations and/or partnering with Controls, Operational Risk, Compliance, or Audit.
- Experience designing/building internal portals or knowledge hubs and establishing content governance models.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with documentation/process mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
- Familiarity with data visualization/reporting approaches (e.g., Tableau/Power BI) and basic data concepts (data quality, lineage, access controls) is a plus.
