Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

This roleis responsible foroverseeing day-to-day communications efforts, coordinating team projects, and supporting the promotion of BYU–Hawaii Admissions programs, events, and initiatives. The supervisor will guide team members, ensure quality and consistency in content, and use data insights to plan and improve marketing strategies. This position offers valuable leadership experience within a dynamic and multicultural university environment.
Leadership & Team Coordination (30%)
Supervise and support student employees within the Marketing and Communications team. Coordinate assignments, provide guidance and feedback, and ensuretimelycompletion of projects. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and professional team environment.
Digital Marketing & Campaigns (40%)
Oversee BYU–HawaiiAdmissions'digital marketing efforts across social media, websites, email, and CRM platforms. Lead the development and execution of content and mass communication campaigns targeting prospective students, parents, and Church and community leaders. Responsibilities include content creation, graphic design, multimedia production, scheduling posts, managing engagement, and ensuring brand consistency. Use performance data to guide content strategy and improve outreach effectiveness.
Event & Live Engagement (10%)
Support andparticipatein live information sessions, webinars, and admissions events.Assistin presenting, coordinatinglogistics, and creating supporting materials to enhance audience engagement.
Student Support & Outreach (10%)
Provide guidance and support to prospective students and families via phone, email, and digital platforms. Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact andassistwith outreach efforts throughout the admissions process.
Data & Performance Strategy (10%)
Analyze marketing and communications data to evaluate performance and inform strategy. Use insights tooptimizecampaigns, improve engagement, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Must be a current BYU–Hawaii student
- Strong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiencywith major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)
- Familiarity with CRM and project management tools (e.g., Element 451, Monday.com) preferred
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead within a team environment
- Comfortable appearing in photo and video content for marketing purposes and presenting in live sessions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn new skills and support cross-functional projects as needed
Education
High School
Completion of lower-division coursework in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred.
Work Experience
Previous experience in marketing, communications, or student leadership roles preferred
