Description
As part of our Ports Pathway programme, this is an entry-level opportunity designed for a recent Marketing graduate who wants to build meaningful hands-on experience in a busy in-house marketing and communications team.
The Marketing Assistant will support the delivery of campaigns, content and day-to-day marketing activity across Ports of Jersey.
The role will provide practical experience in campaign coordination, digital and internal communications, content creation, reporting, and team administration, while giving the postholder the chance to learn from experienced colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing and communications activity across digital, print and internal channels.
- Help create and publish content such as social posts, internal updates, newsletters, presentations and promotional materials.
- Provide administrative support to help keep campaigns, content calendars and team activity organised and on track.
- Assist with prioritising tasks, coordinating deadlines and following up actions to support smooth delivery across the team.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of campaign and channel performance, helping the team understand what is working and where improvements can be made.
- Contribute ideas for engaging content and campaigns, learning how to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Support the team with occasional events, launches or promotional activity as needed. The source role is mainly office-based but may work offsite for events such as the boat show.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and a positive team approach in all work.
