JOB PURPOSE
The Internal Communications Assistant will support the execution of Massy Group's internal and external communications strategies through content creation, digital communications, media relations support, stakeholder engagement activities, and corporate branding initiatives. The incumbent will gain practical experience across regional and international communications functions while contributing to strategic projects and developing capabilities in digital communications, analytics, and AI-enabled communication tools.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning and execution of communication campaigns, content creation, digital engagement initiatives, media relations activities, and corporate events while gaining exposure to emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation tools, and data-driven communications practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Communications Support
- Assist in the development, editing, and distribution of internal and external communication materials, including:
- Media releases
- Corporate announcements
- Executive messages
- Newsletters
- Briefing notes
- Speeches and talking points
- Corporate presentations
- Stakeholder communications
- Website content
- Social media content
- Support the implementation of strategic communications plans and campaigns aligned with Massy Group's corporate objectives.
- Assist with content development and storytelling initiatives that promote the Group’s purpose, values, sustainability agenda, and strategic priorities.
- Monitor traditional and digital media coverage and prepare media monitoring reports and summaries.
- Support the maintenance of communications calendars and content schedules.
Digital Communications & Content Creation
- Assist in creating engaging visual and digital content for:
- Corporate social media platforms
- Internal communications campaigns
- Corporate presentations
- Annual and sustainability reports
- Corporate events
- Employee engagement initiatives
- Digital advertising campaigns
- Design graphics, infographics, visual assets, and branded communication materials that adhere to Massy Group brand standards.
- Assist with photography coordination, video production, editing, and multimedia content development.
- Support digital storytelling initiatives through written, visual, and multimedia content.
- Assist in managing content publishing and scheduling across digital and social media platforms.
- Monitor social media engagement and provide insights and recommendations to improve audience reach and effectiveness.
Artificial Intelligence & Digital Innovation Support
- Support the exploration and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance communication processes and content development.
- Assist in researching emerging communication technologies, digital trends, and AI-driven solutions relevant to corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Participate in initiatives focused on digital transformation, innovation, and communications effectiveness.
- Utilize approved AI-enabled tools to support content ideation, research, analytics, and workflow efficiencies while adhering to corporate governance and confidentiality requirements.
- Demonstrate a willingness to continuously develop AI literacy and remain informed about emerging technologies impacting the communications profession.
Media Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in coordinating media interviews, press conferences, media briefings, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Support the preparation of media kits, briefing materials, background information, and event documentation.
- Maintain media and stakeholder contact databases as required.
- Assist with the coordination of corporate events, sponsorship activities, and community engagement initiatives.
Research, Analytics & Reporting
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor communications, stakeholder sentiment, and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of communications reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance metrics.
- Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness using available analytics tools and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support the collection and reporting of key communications performance indicators.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support for departmental projects and initiatives.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics, and maintaining project documentation.
- Support procurement and vendor coordination activities related to communications projects where required.
- Maintain organized records and documentation in accordance with corporate standards.

- Knowledge of social media platform management and digital engagement strategies.
Technology & Digital Tools

- Knowledge of website management platforms, Content Management Systems (CMS), digital publishing tools, or analytics platforms is considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications Studies, Multimedia Design, Business Communications, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in communications, digital media, marketing, graphic design or related areas.
· Experience supporting corporate communications or media initiatives will be considered an asset.
