We are seeking an Audio-Visual Specialist to support the Information Systems team at the School of Public Health. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a multi-site videoconferencing environment and supporting students, staff, and faculty with both in-room and virtual meetings.
Key responsibilities include setting up and maintaining conference rooms and instructional spaces, and supporting virtual meetings across platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other conferencing technologies. The role requires regular hands-on work with audiovisual hardware and software, including troubleshooting and providing on-site technical support to end users.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AV signal flow, including microphones and camera systems, and experience working directly with clients in a service-oriented environment. Working knowledge of QSC Q-SYS and Microsoft Teams is preferred.
This position is based at the School of Public Health building on Old Spanish Trail and requires a regular on-site presence.

Position Summary:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of a multi-site videoconferencing network.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Supervises the scheduling and delivery of videoconference events.
- Responsible for ensuring on-time network connectivity for scheduled classes and conferences.
- Provides on-call support to diagnose and resolve dropped connectivity during class offerings at remote locations as well as central locations. Involves IS technology specialists in problem resolution as needed.
- Provides general direction to the Video Communications Technician, including directing work assignments, work schedules, and equipment inventory management. Oversees work quality assurance and provides skill development for A/V staff.
- Provides videoconferencing equipment training to conference center users.
- Operates audio-visual equipment.
- Makes recommendations on equipment and software purchases based on research and/or historical equipment performance and reliability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
A Bachelor's Degree, or you may substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.
Minimum Experience:
3 years of related experience required, working with Audio-Visual equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
