- Develop and execute a comprehensive stakeholder communications strategy aligned with organizational priorities and department goals
- Manage ongoing communications across multiple audiences, including partners, members, community stakeholders and internal teams, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment
- Produce a consistent cadence of communications including partner updates, stakeholder briefings, internal communications and visitor economy reports
- Lead the development of the annual report, translating data, partner insights and industry trends into a clear, compelling narrative that informs and aligns stakeholders
- Collaborate with Events & Activations to support the annual meeting, ensuring content, messaging and storytelling are cohesive and impactful
- Research, analyze and translate internal datasets, partner insights and industry trends into clear, relevant communications
- Write and manage content including blog posts, thought leadership pieces and stakeholder-facing storytelling that reinforces the value and impact of the visitor economy
- Monitor local and regional news, policy developments and public sentiment to ensure communications are timely, relevant and responsive to the current environment
- Develop toolkits, messaging frameworks and talking points that enable internal teams and partners to communicate a consistent and aligned story
- Partner with Marketing to align stakeholder messaging with brand campaigns, PR efforts and external storytelling
- Co-lead crisis communications preparedness with the EVP, including development and maintenance of playbooks, protocols and scenario planning
- Support real-time communications during high-pressure or sensitive situations, ensuring speed, accuracy and alignment across stakeholders
- Manage communication channels and distribution strategies to maximize reach, engagement and effectiveness
- Track, analyze and optimize communications performance, using data and stakeholder feedback to continuously refine approach

- Stakeholder engagement metrics including open rates, click-through and content utilization
- Stakeholder sentiment, trust and perception indicators
- Timeliness, clarity and consistency of communications delivery
- Performance of content including blog engagement and stakeholder usage
- Quality, reach and impact of the State of the Visitor Economy report
- Crisis response readiness and execution effectiveness

Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and executing multi-audience communications strategies, including external stakeholder and internal communications
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with experience producing a range of content including reports, blog posts and executive communications
- Experience working with data and insights to inform messaging and develop meaningful narratives
- A strong understanding of the local and regional landscape with the ability to stay attuned to emerging issues, sentiment and opportunities to shape messaging and outreach.
- Demonstrated ability to stay informed on local, regional or industry trends and translate that awareness into timely and relevant communications
- Experience developing messaging frameworks, toolkits and communication assets for diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across marketing, partnerships and leadership teams
- Excellent judgment and ability to navigate complex or sensitive communications situations
