We are looking for a Public Relations Officer in La Jolla, CA.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and writing various internal and external communications and coordinating public relations events to achieve the company's public relations objectives.
- Promote and protect the reputation of the company and its products, its employees and its initiatives.
- Identify public relations opportunities and recommend company participation in or sponsorship of community events.
- Work with management and partners to plan and implement public relations activities, including press releases, media pitching, social media posts, etc.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with local, national, and industry news media.
- Track media mentions, reputation reports, and industry trends.
- Manage the blog editorial calendar, website publishing, and social media accounts.
- Coordinate public relation activities to support and enhance marketing programs and initiatives, new products and company sponsorships.
- Represent company at various public events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of directly related experience.
- Frequently seeks out the development of new PR theories and methods.
- Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of written communications, public relations, journalism, and computers.
- Good organizational, communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
- Word processing skills required.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $93,000 - $114,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location
