Job Purpose:
BritBox is seeking a strategic, creative, and analytically driven Senior Manager, Social Media to play a pivotal role in transforming and expanding BritBox’s social footprint. This role will lead platform strategy and planning across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms, driving audience growth, engagement, and cultural relevance for the brand.
This is a high-impact position responsible for developing scalable frameworks, elevating short-form video strategy, and ensuring BritBox remains best-in-class in social storytelling around key tentpoles, returning series, fan favorites, and cultural moments.
The Senior Manager will partner closely with Editorial, Production, Marketing, Research, Paid Social and Product teams to align multiplatform priorities and translate brand and business goals into innovative, measurable social strategies.
A passion for British Television and pop culture is essential.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive platform strategies across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels aligned with audience growth, engagement, and business objectives.
Lead short-form video and platform-first content strategy, ensuring creative is optimized for algorithm performance and audience behavior.
Collaborate with Senior Creative, Social Content for repeatable frameworks and toolkits to support scalable, best-in-class social activations around premieres, tentpoles, returning series, fan favorites, and cultural moments.
Set platform KPIs and build performance dashboards (Sprout or similar tools) to enable continuous optimization.
Utilize analytics and audience insights to proactively adjust strategy and improve reach, engagement, and conversion impact.
Influence cross-functional stakeholders and advocate for social-first thinking across campaigns.
Content & Creative Execution
Oversee the curation of compelling, platform-native social content. Collaborate with creative producer
Strategize and develop bespoke material, in collaboration with Senior Creative, Social Content, at live events, set visits and talent shoots.
Brainstorm and collaborate on innovative campaigns that drive conversation and cultural relevance. Focus on both brand and content.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and brand consistency across all platforms.
Stay ahead of platform trends, creator ecosystems, and algorithm shifts to maintain competitive advantage.
Podcast & Cross-Platform Promotion
Support the social marketing strategy for the BritBox podcast, On The Box, helping grow awareness, audience engagement, and discoverability across social platforms.
Develop platform-specific content and promotional tactics to amplify podcast episodes, talent moments, and cultural conversations.
Work collaboratively with the paid social team
Community & Operations
Oversee day-to-day management of BritBox social channels.
Partner with community management teams to ensure timely, brand-aligned responses to audience engagement.
Collaborate with Marketing, Editorial, Research, and Product teams to align social initiatives with broader business goals.

Knowledge and Experience
Proven success managing social strategies across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
Deep understanding of content trends, creator ecosystems, and algorithm dynamics on social video platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Experience building dashboards and working with social analytics tools (Sprout or similar).
Comfortable and confident interfacing with talent.
Highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Good to have the ability to edit and post.
Familiarity with podcast promotion and growing podcast visibility across social platforms is a plus.
Passion for British television, entertainment, and pop culture is an advantage.
Must be willing to work in NYC in a hybrid environment (minimum three days in office).
Salary Range: $105k-120K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential
