Summary
Yelp's mission is to connect people with great local businesses. As a trusted source of information on local business, millions of people turn to Yelp every day to make decisions about where to spend their money — from where to eat, shop or stay, to which home or local service provider to use, and beyond.
Yelp’s Growth Marketing team is dedicated to driving user acquisition, activation, and long-term engagement across the full consumer lifecycle. As a Senior Growth Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategies and hands-on execution for consumer retention and re-engagement across our Services and Restaurant, Food & Nightlife (RFN) verticals. You will focus on developing mid and lower-funnel marketing strategies that drive repeat engagement, feature adoption, and revenue growth.
In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner closely with Marketing Operations, Growth Science, Creative Design, Marketing Technology, and Product teams to build and optimize lifecycle programs. You will develop cross-sell strategies between verticals, accelerate impact for new product launches, and increase reach and engagement with high-intent users. We are looking for a data-driven strategist and hands-on executor who is passionate about understanding user behavior, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering measurable business impact through personalized, channel-optimized marketing.
Our team is passionate about data, experimentation, and the power of new technology, including AI, to drive innovation. We are especially interested in candidates who bring direct experience with lifecycle or growth marketing at scale, and who demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI and emerging technologies to advance marketing effectiveness.
We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.
What you'll do:
- Lead targeted engagement strategies for Services and RFN users across core growth channels, such as email, push, and in-product messages, to increase retention and deepen engagement throughout the user journey.
- Measure campaign performance and partner with Growth Science and Operations teams to track, analyze, and act on results.
- Optimize recurring user journeys, audience segmentation, feature usage, and retargeting campaigns to drive repeat engagements with high-intent users.
- Lead the development, execution, and ongoing optimization of growth experiments and campaigns using A/B testing, segmentation, and analytics.
- Partner with Marketing Technology and Operations teams to build new marketing capabilities, behavioral signals, and channel optimizations that will drive engagement and revenue.
- Develop and execute cross-sell strategies to drive awareness and engagement across the Services and RFN verticals, building experimentation plans to meet revenue goals and executing across core growth channels.
- Collaborate with in-house creative design teams to build best-in-class marketing campaigns, partnering with PMM leads to incorporate key value propositions and ensure consistent brand messaging across growth channels.
- Launch audience expansion experiments to grow reach by increasing channel opt-in and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to create engagement loops and drive feature adoption.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills — set priorities, problem-solve, multitask, and work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance consumer insights, marketing strategies, and campaign effectiveness.
What it takes to succeed:
- 7-10 years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or related roles.
- Proven experience building and optimizing lifecycle programs across owned and operated channels (i.e., email, in-product).
- Experience developing cross-sell or multi-vertical growth strategies that drive measurable business impact.
- Hands-on experience with marketing platforms (i.e., Braze) to manage campaign execution, build audience segmentation, and develop new behavioral signals.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Must be comfortable analyzing campaign performance, extracting insights from data, and applying them to real-world execution and optimization.
- Experience with audience expansion strategies, including driving marketing opt-ins or increasing reach through growth experimentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage performance monitoring across a large portfolio of campaigns, with a bias toward action and continuous optimization.
- Excellent organizational, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and prioritization skills in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex concepts to an executive audience.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience with, or strong enthusiasm for, applying AI solutions in growth marketing.
