Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Head in formulating and implementing media strategies, public affairs plans, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across government, industry, and community to strengthen corporate branding and drive positive exposure among media, stakeholders and the public
- Manage media relations and public affairs work, including issue management and crisis communications. Apply multi-media production and storytelling to enhance brand visibility across both conventional and emerging channels
- Monitor public sentiment through social listening and analytics within a public affairs context to identify emerging issues relevant to the company, and conduct policy research to inform public affairs strategies, stakeholder engagement, and organizational positioning
- Partner with business units to support the launch of products and services through integrated communications, spanning traditional media, digital platforms and multimedia content.
- Develop high quality communications materials, including but not limited to, press releases, key messages, line-to-take, speeches, presentation materials, factsheets, and digital content
- Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by supervisor
Requirements:
- Degree holder or above in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Politics or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years of solid experience in media and public affairs work, including engagement with journalists and relevant stakeholders, with strong understanding of both traditional and new media landscape
- Demonstrated ability in crisis and issues management, with experience in social listening, analytics and issue management within a public affairs setting
- Background in financial services, MNCs, Tech / FinTech or public utilities is an advantage
- A good team player and excellent communicator who is self-motivated, patient, detail-oriented and able to work independently under tight timelines in a complex and evolving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese required, Putonghua an advantage)
