The role
We are looking for a Senior Account Executive, Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join our US team in New York.
You will play a key role in leading PR within integrated marketing programs, ensuring newsworthy storytelling is at the core of all client brand initiatives. You will help shape and execute integrated communications and content strategies that deliver measurable business impact for our clients.
Like all New Yorkers, you will have your finger on the pulse of cultural trends and a deep knowledge of the global media who call New York home too. This is an incredible opportunity to grow into one of the key media leadership roles within our agency.
Level and title (Senior AE / AM / SAM) will be based on your experience and demonstrated capabilities.
What you will do
Depending on level, you will:
- Lead and support key client accounts, developing and executing integrated communications and content strategies that achieve client objectives.
- Act as a day to day program lead for existing accounts and prospective clients, ensuring quality output, clear communication and smooth delivery.
- Own and drive projects across a range of tactics, including PR, content, social media and events.
- Build and execute earned media strategies for B2B and B2C tech clients, with a focus on fintech, healthtech, AI and enterprise / SaaS.
- Identify timely and relevant media and cultural trends to align clients with newsmaking moments.
- Cultivate and leverage media relationships to secure top tier coverage, adapting strategies to maximize impact.
- Develop compelling brand materials including media pitches, press releases, briefing materials, bylines, thought leadership and social media content that resonate with target audiences.
- Act as the lynchpin of a busy press office, ensuring calendars, announcements and narratives are coordinated and impactful.
- Work closely with our insights, GEO/SEO, paid, creative and content teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Anticipate client needs, plan ahead and proactively recommend strategic, creative solutions.
- Support new business development by contributing to research, proposals and pitches, and by spotting opportunities to expand our work with existing clients across new services or geographies.
- Keep abreast of developments and innovations in key client industries and in the technology and digital marketing space more broadly.
- Guide and mentor junior staff and help foster an inclusive, collaborative and high performing team environment.
About you
You might be a strong Senior Account Executive ready for a step up, an established Account Manager, or a Senior Account Manager looking for a new challenge in a growing global agency.
You will bring:
- Experience in an in house communications team or tech communications agency, ideally with B2B and or B2C tech clients.
- A proven ability to plan and run multi channel communications programs that build brand awareness, reputation and affinity.
- A track record of success in media relations and a hunger to grow your media network in NYC, including attending media centric events as a representative of Clarity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear, persuasive narratives.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- A self motivated, accountable mindset and a focus on excellence in delivery.
- A genuine curiosity about technology, innovation and digital marketing, and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility and resourcefulness, with a desire to contribute ideas that improve our programs and processes.
At more senior levels (AM and SAM), you will also bring:
- Demonstrated strength in client leadership and relationship building, including strategic counsel to senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading account teams, setting direction and ensuring high quality standards across deliverables.
- Confidence managing budgets, scopes and resourcing, and contributing meaningfully to organic growth and new business efforts.
