Edelman is seeking a Temporary Associate Creative Director (ACD), Art to help lead the development of culturally relevant, visually compelling ideas that drive conversation and impact. About the Role
Our work extends beyond traditional advertising or PR. On any given day, you may art direct a brand film, design a culture-driving stunt, or create social-first content built to engage audiences in real time. We are looking for a versatile creative leader with strong visual instincts and a passion for ideas that earn attention—from major media coverage to industry recognition.
You will partner closely with copywriters and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, earned-first campaigns that are social by design and rooted in cultural insight.
Responsibilities
- Partner with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to concept and execute integrated campaigns across social, digital, video, experiential, and content platforms
- Lead the visual development of campaign ideas, ensuring high standards of craft, design, and storytelling
- Create earned-first, culturally relevant work for client projects and new business pitches
- Collaborate with copywriters, strategy, account, project management, and influencer teams to bring ideas to life
- Translate concepts into strong visual executions, including layouts, storyboards, design systems, and production-ready assets
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing direction and mentorship to designers and junior team members
- Work closely with project managers and production partners to develop timelines and oversee execution
- Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations and guide the approval process
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant creative experience in art direction or design
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
- Proven ability to manage projects with attention to detail in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and high-level visual execution across multiple platforms
- Expertise in layout, typography, composition, and motion design principles
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and other industry-standard design tools
- Experience in art direction and production across video, digital, social, and experiential platforms
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Experience maintaining client relationships and supporting budget and timeline development
- Familiarity with influencer or community-driven content is a plus
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative ideas and design decisions
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
