We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to
promote Playgroup NSW’s mission by delivering impactful marketing initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO – YOUR PURPOSE
As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you'll play a key role in promoting Playgroup NSW’s mission through strategic marketing initiatives. Boosting brand visibility, engaging communities, and driving participation through campaigns, content, social media, and e‑communications.
Marketing Strategy & Delivery
- Support execution of marketing strategy across programs and services
- Maintain marketing calendar and coordinate campaign timelines
- Develop campaign content and collateral (flyers, signage, event assets)
- Manage cross-organisational marketing projects with internal teams
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Plan and deliver social media campaigns (paid and organic)
- Schedule and manage content aligned to strategy and engagement goals
- Create and distribute EDMs and manage website updates (blogs, banners, news)
- Manage communications via Salesforce Account Engagement
Events & Campaign Support
- Support delivery of events and activations (event pages, expos, on-site promotion)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
- Liaise with external partners and vendors
- Prioritise and coordinate marketing requests with stakeholders
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain marketing systems, schedules, and databases
- Track campaign performance and report on insights
- Ensure all content is current across platforms
Support strategic initiatives, professional development, and ad hoc projects
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, PR, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital & print)
- Strong content creation skills across social, EDMs, and marketing collateral
Hands-on social media management (Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube), including analytics
- Experience supporting events (planning, promotion, on-the-ground delivery)
- Proficient in digital tools (EDM platforms, schedulers, Canva/Adobe)
- High attention to detail with strong brand and proofreading skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovative campaigns
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Tech-savvy, with strong Office 365 capability
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Experience in NFP or government sectors
- Understanding of families/early childhood sector
- CRM experience (Salesforce including Salesforce Account Engagement or similar) or willingness to learn
- Experience working within regulated environments
