OverviewThis is a 12 - 14 month contract position covering a maternity leave.
The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the brand in Canada, helping bring the vision to life of changing the way the world drinks. This role requires a high-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven marketer with strong communication skills, sound business judgment, and a passion for building brands.
This role will partner closely with the Canadian leadership team, global headquarters, agency partners, sales, finance, and operations to develop and execute the annual brand plan, strengthen brand communications, support innovation launches, manage the product portfolio, and ensure consistent, impactful go-to-market execution across channels.
The Brand Lead will play a central role in shaping how the brand shows up in market. They will translate business objectives into clear marketing strategies, develop compelling communications, manage integrated campaigns, and use insights to optimize performance and drive brand growth.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of annual brand plans aligned to overall business and brand objectives.
- Own the day-to-day management of the brand, ensuring consistency in positioning, messaging, visual identity, and in-market execution.
- Develop communication strategies that strengthen brand equity, build awareness, and drive consumer engagement across channels.
- Lead media planning in partnership with agencies and internal stakeholders, identifying target audiences and the most effective channels to reach them.
- Partner with local agencies and global teams to develop creative strategy and market-relevant assets aligned with overall brand objectives.
- Support the development and launch of innovation by partnering with cross-functional teams including HQ, sales, design, supply chain, and demand planning.
- Manage the product portfolio across flavors, bottles, and accessories, helping identify opportunities for optimization, gap filling, and growth.
- Monitor consumer, category, and market trends to identify insights that can inform communications, innovation, and portfolio decisions.
- Translate data, research, and performance results into actionable recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Lead campaign planning and execution across key commercial moments, launches, and seasonal priorities.
- Partner with shopper and sales teams to ensure strong brand presence and effective activation across retail and customer channels.
- Support the development of presentations, brand reviews, business updates, and communication materials for local and global stakeholders.
- Manage agency relationships and external partners to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Oversee budget tracking for key brand initiatives and ensure efficient allocation of marketing investment.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and provide clear leadership across multiple stakeholders locally and globally.
Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, communications, or product marketing.
- Proven experience developing and executing brand plans, campaigns, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Strong understanding of consumer marketing, communications strategy, media, and creative development.
- Experience managing product portfolios and supporting innovation launches.
- Highly organized and strong project leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect brand strategy to business results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable leading agencies and working across internal and external cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to derive insights and translate them into clear strategic action.
- Experience in CPG or consumer durables is preferred; small appliance experience is a plus.
- Solid strategic and analytical skills, able to synthesize consumer and performance insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work cross‑functionally and with agencies to deliver against shared objectives.
- Data‑curious and KPI‑oriented, comfortable using performance metrics to inform optimization and learning.
The expected compensation range for this position is $36.00 – $48.00 CAD / hour
Confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
