As the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be the architect of our revenue engine and a key driver of BW's evolution from a motion component manufacturer to a provider of integrated mechatronic and automation solutions. You will unify our sales and marketing functions to create a seamless customer journey while identifying opportunities to combine BW's legacy motion expertise with Wisecarver Automation capabilities to solve increasingly complex customer challenges and accelerate growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Revenue Leadership
- Unified Strategy: Develop and execute a global, multi-channel strategy (Direct, Distributors, Reps, and eCommerce) that aligns with BW’s aggressive growth targets.
- Market Intelligence: Use Qlik and AI-driven predictive analytics to identify market trends, competitor moves, and new opportunities for expansion.
- Brand Authority: Elevate the BW brand as a global thought leader in intelligent motion, mechatronics, automation, and engineered system solutions.
- Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy that combines Bishop-Wisecarver's legacy motion products with Wisecarver Automation's controls, integration, and automation capabilities to create differentiated mechatronic solutions.
- Identify and prioritize market segments where integrated mechanical, electrical, controls, and software solutions can significantly increase customer value and average project size.
- Drive the transition from component sales to solution-based selling by positioning BW as a trusted partner for intelligent motion, automation, and complex engineered systems.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Product Management to create scalable automation platforms that leverage BW's existing product portfolio while expanding into higher-value mechatronic applications.
- Build strategic account plans focused on increasing share of wallet through automation retrofits, integrated systems, and custom mechatronic solutions.
- Innovation & AI Integration
- AI-Powered Sales: Implement AI tools to optimize lead scoring, personalize customer outreach, and improve forecasting accuracy.
- NPD & Solution Commercialization: Partner with Engineering and Wisecarver Automation to drive New Product Development and commercialization efforts, ensuring BW successfully brings integrated mechatronic, automation, and intelligent motion solutions to market that solve real-world customer challenges.
- Digital Transformation: Oversee the evolution of our eCommerce platform and digital product configurators to ensure a frictionless, high-conversion user experience.
- Sales Excellence & Channel Management
- Coaching & Culture: Mentor and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and a "pioneering spirit."
- Channel Empowerment: Optimize our network of Independent Sales Representatives and Authorized Distributors by providing them with best-in-class enablement tools via Showpad.
- The Signature Experience: Ensure every interaction—from the first touchpoint to post-sale support—reflects our commitment to excellence.
- Precision Marketing & Demand Gen
- Automation Mastery: Lead our HubSpot strategy to drive inbound lead generation, nurturing, and data hygiene.
- Content Strategy: Oversee a robust content engine (Video, SEO, White Papers) that positions our mechatronics expertise at the forefront of the industry.
- Event Leadership: Direct our presence at major trade shows and "Signature Experience" events to build advocacy and sustainable business levels.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Strategic Leadership: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Sales and Marketing within the mechatronics, automation, or motion control industries.
- Educational Excellence: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business; an MBA is highly preferred to navigate complex business landscapes.
- Revenue Growth & Channel Mastery: Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets through direct sales, manufacturer representative firms, and global distributor networks.
- MarTech & AI Integration: Power user of HubSpot (CRM), and Qlik (BI), with a forward-thinking approach to leveraging AI for predictive analytics and workflow automation.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Advanced analytical skills to translate complex data sets into actionable insights, optimizing ROI, CAC, and LTV.
- High-Impact Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to build high-trust relationships with executive stakeholders and global partners.
