Job Summary:
The position of Director of Marketing and Admissions is a highly visible one. It is full time and frequently requires excess of 40 hours weekly. Director of Marketing facilitates the goals of the overall management at Bethea Baptist Retirement Community.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, combined with experience in public relations is required. The Director must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with effective presentation skills. Also requires a knowledge and understanding of the needs of elderly.
Requirements
1. Market Bethea Baptist Retirement Community according to the objectives and policies established for the community Board of Trustees.
2. Marketing with telephone contacts, letters, and notes daily.
3. Mail requested information and marketing packets with brochures within a 24-hour period of request.
4. Maintenance of promotional and contractual materials.
5. Maintain up-to-date records on prospective residents with phone calls, personal notes, presentation tours, or a visit in the prospective resident’s home.
6. Maintain a current room check list and inventory of available accommodations of patio apartments, cottages, other apartments, and suites and studios.
7. Work closely with other staff to ensure the availability of accommodations and readiness for occupancy.
8. Requires a complete awareness of the ministry, concept, spirit, and purpose of Bethea Baptist Retirement Community.
9. Meeting regularly with the Executive Director is required.
10. Director of Marketing must secure all required information and completed application from prospective residents for presentation to the Admission Committee of Board.
11. All applications are submitted to the Trustees for approval, rejection, or deferment.
12. Director of Marketing will notify prospective residents of the decision of the Trustees.
13. Director of Marketing will send “accepted” residents a copy of the Contractual Agreement and a Disclosure Statement, as required by law. The contract will state a projected entry date, which will be passed on the staff.
14. Upon entry, the Director of Marketing will have all contracts signed, including the signature of the Executive Director, welcome the new Resident members, and provide the Financial Secretary with required Resident Affirmation form, a copy of all health insurance cards, a contract for “personal laundry” if Bethea is to provide such, and a statement of all required fees.
15. The Director of Marketing will provide the new resident with a handbook or a sheet of information for new residents, along with a room key and a mail box key.
16. Director of Marketing is required to form exhibits at conventions, seminars, church gatherings, and Senior Expo.
17. Up-to-date promotional “giveaways” must be maintained.
18. An ongoing relationship is maintained with the residents who enter and with those who reside at Bethea.
