The Media Planner plays a central role in the design, coordination, and delivery of multi-country, multi-channel media campaigns within the Media Department. This role combines strategic media planning, operational coordination with external media buying agencies, and data-driven performance monitoring to ensure high-quality, consistent, and impactful campaign delivery.
Designs and develops integrated media plans across digital and offline channels, aligned with client objectives, target audiences, and budget frameworks.
Manages the full lifecycle of media campaigns, including planning, phasing, implementation coordination, optimisation, and reporting.
Coordinates closely with external media buying agencies, ensuring clear briefings, accurate delivery of assets, and alignment on timelines and KPIs.
Oversees complex, multi-country campaigns, ensuring consistency, localisation accuracy, and compliance with EU institutional requirements.
Structures and manages large volumes of campaign assets and materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to media buying partners.
Validates media plans, delivery schedules, and implementation details provided by external partners to ensure quality and accuracy.
Tracks campaign performance across channels, consolidating data from multiple sources into clear and actionable insights.
Develops and maintains robust reporting frameworks, including dashboards and visualisations for internal and client-facing use.
Ensures strong coordination between internal teams (account, creative, strategy) and external stakeholders.
Maintains high standards of organisation, documentation, and process management across all projects.
Contributes to the media sections of proposals and tenders, supporting the development of clear, data-driven methodologies and realistic media plans.
Required skills & qualifications
An overall experience of minimum 5 years
Strong experience in media planning, with a focus on managing complex, multi-channel and multi-country campaigns.
Proven ability to work with media buying agencies and coordinate implementation at scale.
Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to manage large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
Expertise in data collection, analysis, and visualisation (e.g. Excel, dashboards, reporting tools).
High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong understanding of digital and offline media ecosystems, including social, programmatic, display, video, and traditional channels.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly brief, align, and manage multiple stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex data and media concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
Experience working in institutional or EU communication environments is an asset.
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
