Department Overview:
|
The Center for Precision Medicine (CPM) mission is to catalyze research, clinical, and educational activities in precision medicine to expand tools and data sources that enhance our ability to anticipate, diagnose, and manage disease across the lifespan. We have 37-member faculty that include basic science, computational, and translational research groups. We are in the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) complex within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. |

Qualifications:
|
A currently enrolled UW–Madison graduate student in good standing. All majors and fields of study are encouraged to apply; additional consideration given to individuals pursuing a graduate degree in Marketing, Communications/Journalism, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
The following experience is preferred, but not required:
• Writing and editing skills to create accessible and engaging materials • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, take initiative on projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Experience with (or willingness to learn) Wiscweb website tools and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) Social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook) Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator) Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Email marketing programs (i.e., Eloqua) Cloud-based document management tools (i.e., Box, Google Drive) Internal messaging apps and web conferencing tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom)

Position Summary/Job Duties:
|
• Design and manage the promotional lifecycle for CPM seminars, symposiums, and events, including creating fliers, writing email announcements, and tracking engagement. • Assist in brainstorming and implementing new communication strategies to increase the visibility of CPM’s research and initiatives. • Manage content curation for our monthly newsletter, highlighting Center activities, recent publications, and upcoming events. • Provide recommendations for website improvements and manage updates to maintain accurate, high-impact web content. • Assisting with event planning, and other duties as assigned.
