A Day in the life
A Day in the life of a Vice President of Marketing centers on shaping the strategies that propel the business forward while ensuring the brand’s presence resonates with its audience. You will work closely with your team to review ongoing campaigns, analyze market research, daily sales trends, and adjust strategies to stay ahead. Collaboration with department leaders is key to aligning marketing initiatives with broader business goals, ensuring every effort supports shared objectives within the Corporate Marketing team and the company as a whole. You will oversee marketing and advertising plans, promotions, and neighborhood marketing strategies, with a focus on maximizing quality lead generation and strengthening brand awareness. Throughout your work, you lead and inspire your team to deliver impactful results while providing guidance and efficiencies to achieve the goals set by the department and the company each year. Every decision and action is underscored by a steadfast commitment to upholding Stanley Martin’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

What is Stanley Martin looking for ?
The ideal candidate for the Vice President of Marketing role combines strategic thinking with exceptional interpersonal abilities. They are both creative and analytical, capable of crafting innovative solutions while maintaining a sharp focus on details. With a customer-first mindset and a collaborative spirit, they excel at building strong relationships inside and outside the organization. Their clear communication of insights inspires action and fosters alignment across teams. This role is ideal for someone who embraces leadership with integrity, encourages teamwork, and thrives on driving impactful results that align with Stanley Martin’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications and/or related field
- 15+ years of marketing experience
- 8+ years leading marketing teams
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- An ability to think critically, creatively and strategically
- Excellent organizational, management and written/oral communication skills
- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while staying focused on the big picture
- This position is hybrid - four days a week in office
Nice to Haves
- MBA/Masters with a focus in Sales, Marketing, and/or Technology preferred
