The Assistant Marketing Manager for Retail Distribution is responsible for supporting the marketing efforts aimed at enhancing the visibility, brand awareness, and sales of products within retail distribution channels. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to specific retail environments, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy Development: Assist in the development of comprehensive marketing strategies focused on retail distribution channels, considering market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Campaign Planning and Execution: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns targeted at retail outlets, including promotions, product launches, and seasonal initiatives.
- Content Creation and Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and compelling content for digital communication, retail marketing materials, such as product displays, signage, brochures, and digital assets (copy and creative visuals)
- Channel Partner Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor marketing initiatives effectively.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth within retail distribution channels, including gathering insights on consumer preferences and competitor strategies. Stay abreast with market trends and be familiar with consumer behavior.
- Performance Monitoring: Work with the digital marketing team in tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives within retail channels, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and maximize ROI and keep expenses with required CTS.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the marketing budget allocated for retail distribution activities, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and retail operations, to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Brand Management: Uphold brand guidelines and standards across all retail marketing materials and communications, ensuring consistency and coherence in messaging and branding.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in retail marketing, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure products are displayed with guidelines and that the promotions are communicated in all offline channels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-4 years experience in marketing, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of retail distribution channels and consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
