The Social Media Coordinator supports Sun Valley Community Church’s (SVCC) primary social media presence by executing the established social media strategy under the direction of the Creative Director. This role is responsible for creating, publishing, and coordinating content across SVCC’s main social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. In all actions, reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support the creation and publishing of engaging social media content including short-form videos, graphics, captions, and multimedia formats that align with established strategy.
Assist in filming, editing, and preparing platform-native content that reflects SVCC’s voice, brand standards, and mission.
Schedule and manage content distribution across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook according to the established content rhythm.
Engage users with prompt responses to comments and direct messages, cultivate meaningful digital community, and escalate sensitive conversations when appropriate.
Identify timely trends, platform updates, and cultural moments that present opportunities for relevant and effective content.
Maintain consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging across all social platforms.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of professional experience in all main social media platforms and marketing copywriting
Knowledge of social media algorithms and ability to adapt with these changes
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines
Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision
Detail oriented, organizational skills, excellence in creative design.
Teamwork orientation and ability to work collaboratively.
Effective verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with Biblical requirements for church leadership.
Agrees and aligns with the mission, vision, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One year of graphic design and editing experience.
Three years of related experience
