The Global Selling team in Vietnam is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s overseas stores and supporting local businesses’ success and growth on the Amazon. We are now seeking a high-judgement, self-motivated, customer-centered, innovative-thinking, and result-driven communications professional to join Asia Global Selling Communications team. This Public Communications manager will play a key role, partnering with Global Selling team in Vietnam, to build Amazon Global Selling awareness and thought leadership, drive PR strategy and narratives, design and execute communication campaigns and provide PR insights to support the business.
The candidate will work with members of the media, KOLs as well as other external and internal audiences across all channels to tell compelling stories about our narratives. The candidate will have experience in managing complex narratives and campaigns across a variety of audiences and is experienced in digital storytelling. The candidate should develop metrics to measure success and deliver measurable results. Key internal stakeholders for this role including Global Selling Seller Management teams, product teams and Asia Global Selling Marketing, Seller Success team and Public Policy, Legal, Tax, Finance.

Key job responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert to build Amazon Global Selling awareness and accurate perception among targeted audience.
- Be a strong storyteller to identify the right context, leverage data to support, and build trust and strong relations with internal teams to mine for good stories and bar raise for the content development
- Develop PR communication strategies, design and execute yearlong innovative campaigns about Ads across a variety of audiences and channels in partnering with multiple global and local teams with trackable results.
- Provide counsel and support to business leaders and business teams, including prepping them for media interviews and speaking opportunities.
- Manage cross channel communications in partnership with internal communications, social media, and similar storytelling teams.
- Excel in writing bilingual materials, including plan, press releases, executive briefings, statements, Q&As, and more.
- Build and maintain strong media, social, KOL relationship/network in Vietnam.
- Be a core member of a team that handles crises and issues when they arise.
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent English and Vietnamese (oral and written).
- Candidates should have at least 8-12 years of experience, in public relations, communications or branding role.
- Previous interactions with the press are required.
- A bachelor’s degree is required. A post graduate degree or diploma in communications is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably in-house with experience in e-commerce/Internet/Trade/Journalism.
- Experience executing highly successful, creative campaigns and events.
- Experience in managing agencies and budgets
- Existing network of media and social influencer contacts and a desire to work with the media and influencer proactively.
- High judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.
- Collaborative team player with strong ownership and willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even if outside the job’s scope, with commitment to delivering results.
- Proven ability to deal with ambiguities and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, as well as stakeholder expectations.
