The Strategy & Insights (S&I) team develops the global, data-driven earned media strategy that advances Accenture’s reputation and business priorities. The team partners closely with ‑Media Relations, CEO Positioning, Investor Relations, Social Media, People Engagement, and global/regional marketing teams to ensure communications strategies are consistent, insight-led‑, and positioned to inform Accenture’s reputation, influence, and thought leadership across geographies.
We are seeking a Communications Senior Manager to lead and support earned media strategy development and execution across Accenture’s Growth Priorities, including—but not limited to—Talent, AI, Security, and other enterprise-wide priorities.
This leader will shape strategic narratives, partner across our global Corporate Communications and M+C teams, and collaborate regularly with our Corporate Communications Global Lead, Corporate Communications Media Relations Managing Director, the Media Lead for Reinvention Services, other growth priority leads, and broader media relations colleagues to deliver measurable, high-impact media results.
The role requires strong media strategy experience, superior writing and editorial skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with influential reporters. You will help set the strategic direction, activate integrated earned media programs, and ensure alignment across global markets, industry groups, and marketing teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Earned Media Strategy & Planning
Lead development of earned media strategies for Accenture’s Growth Priorities, such as Talent, AI, Security, and other emerging business-critical themes—ensuring alignment with corporate narrative, business objectives, and thought leadership.
Partner with the Associate Director of Media Relations Strategy and Planning to translate strategic business goals into actionable earned media plans.
Apply competitive, industry, and market insights to shape messaging and media positioning; leverage analytics tools such as Meltwater to inform strategy, reporting, and optimization.
Media Relations & Content Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business, financial, and tech reporters; serve as a trusted point of contact for key journalists and influencers.
Craft high-quality, media‑-ready materials, including messaging, Q&As, pitches, bylines, op‑-‑eds, and briefing documents.
Support development of compelling content pipelines across research, thought leadership, client stories, talent initiatives, and innovation narratives relevant to growth priorities.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership
Work closely with the Corporate Communications Global Lead, Corporate Communications Strategy and Insight Managing Director, and Corporate Communications Media Relations Managing Director, and global media teams to integrate and activate earned media strategy globally.
Collaborate with M+C stakeholders across industries, geographies, and capability groups to ensure integrated execution, aligned messaging, and consistent outcomes.
Partner with Media Relations, CEO Positioning, and Insights teams to ensure cohesive media strategy and leader visibility.
Issues Awareness, Governance & Excellence
Ensure all media activities are consistent with Accenture’s media relations policies, disclosure guidelines, and brand standards.
Support proactive issues preparedness and situational response in partnership with senior communications leaders.
Promote operational excellence in project management, stakeholder partnering, metrics, and reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum of 12 years of experience in earned media/corporate communications, with background in technology, innovation, and business transformation communications
Minimum of 10 years of experience developing and executing strategic earned media programs at scale and reporter relationships across business, technology, and/or industry media
Minimum 3 years of experience counseling senior leaders on their executive visibility plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of AI, talent transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology trends
Expertise using media analytics, monitoring, and measurement tools
Strong editorial judgment, storytelling capabilities, and ability to simplify complex themes
Strong writing skills inclusive of media strategies, news releases, bylines and op-eds, key messaging, etc.
Ability to operate with agility, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes under tight deadlines
High executive presence and relationship building skills; experience partnering closely with C‑-suite‑ and senior executives
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
